    The Pride Center hosted Spectrum of Strength at the Grand Salon in the USU on April 22. Queer and disabled students had the opportunity to learn about resources on and off campus, as well as bond with their peers. The discussion “Pillars to Queer Disability” was facilitated by two students from the Programs and Activities team, Shin Min and Raquel Apolinar, with help from team member Vesper Martinez.

    The Board of Directors for CSUN’s Associated Students (AS) voted to pass a resolution on May 5 titled “Condemning Federal Actions from President Donald Trump and the Executive Branch. ” This resolution formally denounces the Trump administration’s executive orders and actions that target Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) programs and other initiatives related to universities.

    Hundreds of Angelenos attended Rep. Brad Sherman’s town hall on April 26 on the CSUN campus. The two-hour event featured a speech from the congressman, live audience polling and a lively Q&A session during which community members expressed their thoughts and concerns on various topics ranging from fire recovery efforts and homelessness to education and the first 100 days of President Donald Trump’s administration.

    April 30, 2025 International Exchange Student Center (IESC) confirmed on Tuesday that all terminated SEVIS records for international students at the university have been reinstated. This follows a sudden halt by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after the federal department announced on April 25 that there would be a reversal of SEVIS terminations. University officials did not verify how many students were impacted.

    Pastel decorations adornedtook over Matador Square on April 17 as the Equal Opportunities Program (EOP) hosted its annual Easter egg hunt. Over 50 students in attendance were givenprovided with snacks, egg-themed crafts and photo opportunities. EOP was established duringcreated from the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s and was officially enacted in 1969, when CSUN was still known as Valley State College.
