ORANGE, Conn. — Avangrid, the New England-based energy services and delivery company, has secured two of the lease areas recently put up for auction for offshore wind development by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management. As recently reported by The Well News, the bureau held an auction for a total of eight areas off the coasts of Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire on Oct. 29.

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Supreme Court ruled Friday that undated mail-in ballots in Pennsylvania can be counted despite issue. Some voters filled in their ballots but neglected to put the dates on them. The Republican Party sued to have the undated ballots thrown out. They argued that possibly “tens of thousands” of undated ballots should be rejected. The U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling has the effect of characterizing the lack of dates as an insignificant issue that should not be a disqualifying factor.
