Tokyo Shimbun

The Tokyo Shimbun (東京新聞, Tōkyō Shinbun), which translates to "Tokyo Newspaper," is a publication in Japan produced by The Chunichi Shimbun Company. This organization publishes newspapers under the name The Tokyo Shimbun in the Tokyo Metropolitan Area, while using The Chunichi Shimbun brand in the Nagoya Metropolitan Area. Together, the group has a daily morning circulation of 3.5 million copies. As of July 2008, data from the Japan Newspaper Publishers and Editors Association indicated that the morning edition of The Tokyo Shimbun had an average daily circulation of 620,125 copies, with its evening edition reaching sales of 309,387 copies each day.
