Jamaica Observer Limited is a daily newspaper based in Kingston, Jamaica. It was established by Butch Stewart in January 1993 to compete with The Gleaner, the country's oldest daily newspaper. The founding editor, Desmond Allen, currently serves as the executive editor for operations. Initially launched as a weekly publication in March 1993, the Jamaica Observer transitioned to daily printing in December 1994. In 2004, the newspaper celebrated its tenth anniversary by relocating to a larger facility. At its inception, it became the fourth national newspaper in Jamaica.

    Although it has been a challenge to attract sponsors, the coronation of Miss Universe Jamaica Central, one of the regional pageants in the Miss Universe Jamaica national pageant, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 26 at the Golf View hotel in Mandeville.
