Cala Broadcast Partners LLC was established in August 2016 with the aim of acquiring four television stations in the Mississippi Delta region. The stations, which include WABG (ABC), WXVT (CBS), WNBD (NBC), and WABG-DT2 (Fox), were bought from the Charles Harker family, who had previously managed them through two different companies. The key figures behind Cala Broadcast Partners LLC are Jason Wolff from Los Angeles and Brian Brady from Okemos, Michigan. Following the acquisition, Cala Broadcast Partners consolidated the operations of the four stations and the two companies into a single entity. After significant renovations, the stations now operate from the old WABG offices located at 837 Washington Avenue in downtown Greenville, with studios and production facilities in a nearby building at 849 Washington Avenue. WABG, WABG-DT2, and WNBD broadcast from a transmitter situated in Inverness, Mississippi. After a brief period of sharing a tower, the WXVT signal was moved back to its original transmitter and tower in O’Reilly, Mississippi. Thanks to technological upgrades, WXVT and WNBD now broadcast in full HD, joining WABG and WABG-DT2. Cala Broadcast Partners has unified the operations of separate newsrooms into a new facility at 837 Washington Avenue, rebranding the effort as The Delta News. This initiative provides viewers with four hours of newscasts every weekday. In addition to the programming from ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox, the stations also offer a diverse range of syndicated content. Cala Broadcast Partners is committed to delivering high-quality programming across its four stations and networks. We also aim to provide our clients with effective ways to engage the growing audience attracted by our local, syndicated, and network news, entertainment, and sports offerings.
