WBNS-FM (Columbus, OH)

WBNS-FM, known as 97.1 The Fan, is a commercial sports radio station that serves Columbus, Ohio, and its surrounding metropolitan area. Owned by Tegna Inc., it is one of only two radio stations in their portfolio, alongside WBNS (1460 AM). Both stations operate from studios located with WBNS-TV (channel 10) on Twin Rivers Drive, just west of Downtown Columbus, near WBNS-FM's transmitter tower. As the primary FM station for the Ohio State Sports Network, WBNS-FM also broadcasts for the Columbus Blue Jackets Radio Network and the Columbus Crew. Additionally, it serves as an affiliate for the Cleveland Browns Radio Network, Westwood One Sports' NFL coverage, and ESPN Radio, sharing some affiliations with WBNS (AM).
