The Webster Times made its debut on July 13, 1978, when its first edition was printed. Originally released once a month, this newspaper was created and shared by a small group of recent graduates from Webster College, along with a journalism professor who had just moved to the area.

    The Des Peres Board of Aldermen honored Public Safety Officer Ernest Brockman Jr. on his retirement at its most recent meeting. Brockman worked for the city for 25 years and was the school liaison officer at St. Paul’s Lutheran and St. Clement schools. In that role, he was the “first point of contact” for principals and staff, and was at the schools for drop off in the morning and pick up in the afternoon.
