The Sunset Strip is losing another longtime institution at Sunset Plaza with the upcoming closure of Chin Chin West Hollywood. Located at 8618 W. Sunset Boulevard, the restaurant–known for its modern Chinese cuisine–has announced it will close after 45 years of service. “We are heartbroken to announce that Chin Chin will be unexpectedly closing its doors at our Sunset Plaza location and will begin the search for a new home,” reads a statement on the restaurant’s social media platforms.

West Hollywood community menbers will launch the 2025 Pride festivities with the inaugural “Light Up Pride” ceremony on Friday, May 30, where a five-foot disco ball will be illuminated at Green Qween cannabis dispensary, the city’s first LGBTQ+ owned cannabis dispensary.
