The West Hollywood Public Safety Commission will meet for a regular meeting on Monday, May 12, 2025 to review the latest crime statistics and enforcement efforts, as outlined in the April 2025 report from the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station. According to the report, Part I crimes totaled 183 in April, up from 146 in March. Despite the monthly uptick, overall Part I crime is down nearly 8% compared to the same time last year, with 655 incidents reported so far in 2025 versus 711 in 2024.

A dump truck lost control and crashed into several vehicles before slamming into the Whisky a Go Go, the iconic West Hollywood landmark on the Sunset Strip. The incident occurred Friday afternoon at approximately 3 p.m. No injuries have been reported. Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department West Hollywood Station responded to the scene.

A licensed hot dog vendor made an impassioned plea before the West Hollywood City Council on Monday, urging officials to crack down on what he called a growing number of illegal street food vendors operating along the city’s nightlife corridor. Anthony Reed Devgenio, owner of Big Dix Hot Dogs, said he is the only street vendor in the city operating with full legal authorization — a status he claims has come at great personal cost and effort.

Lil Nas X will not be headlining this year’s WeHo Pride OUTLOUD Music festival in West Hollywood, scheduled from May 30 to June 1, 2025. Early this morning, OUTLOUD announced that the “Olde Town Road” singer will no longer be able to perform due to an ongoing medical issue. “Over the past few days, we’ve been in close contact with Lil Nas X and his team regarding an ongoing medical issue,” reads a statement by OUTLOUD.
