Spectrum News 1 is a round-the-clock local news network dedicated to providing news and information that cater to the unique needs and interests of various neighborhoods in Southern California. The network employs multimedia journalists (MMJs) who reflect the communities they cover and have a strong understanding of local concerns. Their main focus is to deliver comprehensive reports on the issues that are most significant to their audiences. Spectrum News 1 is exclusively available to Spectrum subscribers in Southern California on channel 1. The network collaborates with more than 30 local news and regional sports channels managed by Charter Communications. This channel made its debut on November 16, 2018.

OHIO — The Ohio Department of Natural Resources announced it's awarding $580,000 in Marine Patrol Assistance Grants to 25 agencies across 21 counties. The grants aim to enhance on-the-water safety efforts in conducting routine waterway patrols, responding to emergencies and providing safety gear, ODNR said. “Ensuring the safety of Ohio’s boaters takes strong partnerships,” said ODNR Director Mary Mertz.

CINCINNATI — Rodney Hinton Jr., the man who allegedly hit and killed a Hamilton County sheriff's deputy earlier this month, entered a plea of not guilty to grand jury charges during his arraignment hearing Tuesday morning. He will continue to be held without bond. Last week, a grand jury returned two charges of aggravated murder, a charge of murder and two charges of felonious assault against Hinton Jr., 38, for the death of Larry Henderson.
