The glitzy event, which took place at Hackney Empire in London last weekend, got off to a tricky start as ITV encountered technical difficulties for its broadcast last night (June 5). ITV1 displayed a message apologising for the delay as the show started almost 10 minutes late.

    Lewis Whitham has moved away from Nethermoor GUISELEY have confirmed that Lewis Whitham has rejected an improved contract offer to remain with the Lions and has instead signed for Worksop Town. Whitham spent two and a half seasons at the club joining in November 2022 for an undisclosed fee from Alfreton Town. The winger went on to make 45 appearances, scoring eight goals and winning the Players’ Player of the Season award at the end of the 2022/23 campaign.

    Over 130 people gathered on the afternoon of Sunday, May 18th to hear the Chair of Bramhope & Carlton Parish Council, Hilary Harris, thank the project working group, particularly the Chair, Councillor Alan Anslow, and the Parish Clerk, Nicola Woodward, for their dedication and hard work. She also expressed the council’s gratitude to the Bramhope Trust and to the Outer North West Community Fund (represented by Ward Councillors Barry and Caroline Anderson) for the grants made to the project.

    The Otley temporary footbridge opened to the public today after its setup began in March with the first section craned into place in April. It marks a milestone in the project to replace the main footway on Otley Bridge. The next phase of works involves the bridge being closed over two nights between May 27 and 29, from 8pm to 5am, to enable the installation of concrete barriers and white lining works. A third night, May 29, is a contingency closure subject to the weather.
