The summer season at Wharfemeadows Bowling Club, in Wharfemeadows Park, is under way and players can see the work on the temporary bridge. According to Leeds City Council's schedule of works the temporary bridge is due to open in June.

On Saturday, April 26, Hebden Bridge Band will hold a spring concert at the Bridge Church in Otley. The concert starts at 7:30pm (doors open at 7pm) – admission is £10 per person payable on the door, with accompanied under 16s free of charge.

YEADON Thirds will use two home grounds for matches in their debut season in the Dales Council League. It was revealed at the league’s pre-season meeting at Pudsey Congs that Yeadon Thirds’ early-season venue this year will be Tong Park Esholt’s second ground at Low Springs, while from July onwards their home base will be Woodhouse Grove School. Meanwhile, Leeds Super Kings’ first XI will share Kirk Hammerton, while their second team will alternate at Gildersome & Farnley Hill.
