Lon Horwedel-Imagn Images It’s become a regular staple of the offseason every June. Each year, we look at the 10 Chicago Bears with the most to prove heading into the season. It can be for a variety of reasons, perhaps they have competition at a position, perhaps they’re on the hot seat, perhaps they need to perform for a contract extension, but either way, it’s a big season for them. As we are about to begin the 2025 list, let’s look back at 2024’s list and see how each player performed. 10.

Photo by Michael Reaves/Getty Images Thus far during the Chicago Bears’ OTAs and minicamp, the defense has definitely gotten the best of the offense. It shouldn’t be too much of a surprise, usually, the defenses have the leg up on offenses earlier in the practice sessions, but on top of that, the entire team is learning a new offense (for the second consecutive year). But after quite a few practices, when the defense had the leg up, perhaps the offense started turning the corner today.

Mike Dinovo-Imagn Images When the Chicago Bears drafted Tyler Scott in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, there was a lot of excitement. Scott was projected by draft experts to go somewhere between the second and third round, so when he fell to the fourth and Ryan Poles scooped him up, there was plenty of reason to applaud the pick. But as Scott’s NFL career began in 2023, his speed was always on display, but there were plenty of struggles elsewhere.

Manny Rubio-USA TODAY Sports When you have as rich a defensive history as the Chicago Bears do, you know there’s no shortage of great defensive players who have walked through the tunnel at Soldier Field. The Bears love to talk about their great linebacker tradition, featuring Brian Urlacher, Mike Singletary, Dick Butkus, and many others. However, the Bears have had numerous great defensive linemen throughout their history as well.

Mark J. Rebilas-Imagn Images This is probably an article that should have been written weeks ago, but I kept waiting for it to make sense. Over two months later, it still doesn’t make sense to me. I always assumed during 2024 that Teven Jenkins wasn’t going to be back with the Chicago Bears. It was unfortunate because I loved the way he played. His ability to move defenders in the run game was fun to watch. His pass protection was inconsistent but improved over his time in Chicago.
