LANSING, MI — Earth Day 2025 is set for Tuesday April 22. Earth Day started in the 1970s and is known as a day of environmental action. Across mid-Michigan Harris Nature Center in Okemos and Fenner Nature Center in Lansing both held festivities this past weekend. They invite mid-Michigan to celebrate the outdoors this week by planting trees and shrubs, recycling materials, shopping at a local farmers market, cleaning up a local park or starting a compost pile.
