    Making good on a pledge to expand in the D.C. area, Trader Joe’s will be opening its newest store next week in Rockville, Maryland. The new Trader Joe’s will officially open on June 12 at 225 N. Washington St. The 10,000-square-foot store replaces Dawson’s Market at Rockville Town Square, and joins three dozen restaurants and retailers at Town Square. Dawson’s Market closed about a year ago. The opening will mark the third Trader Joe’s store in Rockville.

    Howard University Hospital and Adventist HealthCare are ending their partnership, which was expected to result in Adventist buying the hospital. Howard University Hospital said the mutual agreement will not result in any disruptions for physicians or patients, and it remains committed to finding a partner to help it expand. Gaithersburg, Maryland-based Adventist assumed management of the hospital in 2020, and three years later, it assumed management of its physician network.

Organizers for Salvadoreñisimo Festival told WTOP the annual event, set to take place at the Montgomery County Agricultural Fairgrounds in Gaithersburg, Maryland, has been canceled for this year.
