By Zippy DuvallAcross the country this morning, men and women in every region and every state are rising to grow the food, fiber and renewable fuel Americans depend on. Most of them have been working for hours before sunup this morning, and many will be working still as the sun dips below the horizon this evening. The days are long on the farm, and the work is hard. By: Lee PittsI’ve always wondered, when does a town become a city? Is there a magic number like 10,000 or 100,000? I may not know when a town becomes a city, but I darn sure know when I’m in one. by: Amanda RadkeIn this busy, loud and often chaotic world we live in, with our full schedules and constant demand to be on-the-go, the older I get, the more I savor and appreciate silence. I find I do my best thinking and praying in silence, whenever I can find it. And, I’ve realized unless I intentionally carve out some quiet times, the world will continue to come at me at break-neck speeds. For me, true solace can be found in the pastures where my cattle graze.
