YouGov is a global online market research company based in the UK, with a presence in Europe, North America, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region. Founded in the UK in May 2000 by Stephan Shakespeare and Nadhim Zahawi, YouGov went public in April 2005, trading on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange. Since 2010, Stephan Shakespeare has served as the Chief Executive Officer of YouGov, while Roger Parry has been the Chairman since 2007. Political analyst Peter Kellner held the position of President until his departure in 2016. YouGov is proud to be a member of the British Polling Council.

A new YouGov survey finds Americans are generally in support of bike lanes in their community, perhaps because Americans are more likely to say bike lanes increase than decrease overall quality of life as well as safety for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers. Two-thirds (67%) of Americans say there are bike lanes in most (23%) or some (43%) places in their local area.

A new YouGov survey identifies areas in which Americans feel they are above or below average, how they feel about receiving praise, and what their expectations are of themselves. Among 60 areas asked about in the survey, more than half of Americans rate themselves above average in 17, especially trustworthiness and loyalty; in 51, Americans are more likely to rate themselves above average than below average. Most Americans say they have high expectations for themselves.

A new YouGov survey asked Americans whether they think the Democratic Party or the Republican Party does a better job handling each of 20 issues. Both Democrats and Republicans have changed their views since last year on several key issues. For example, Democrats are less likely now than they were in August 2024 to say the Democratic Party does a better job at handling guns (69%, down from 80%).
