DU QUOIN, Ill. (WSIL) — A food drive will take place Friday, April 18th, to support relief efforts for those impacted by the tornado outbreak of March 14th. Officials say this is all thanks to a $15,000 grant given to the District 1-CS Lions of Illinois by the Lions Clubs International Foundation's Disaster Relief Initiative. District 1-CS Lions of Illinois, the Du Quoin Lions Club, and members from across Illinois will join to distribute 400 boxes of food for Perry County residents.

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (WSIL) — A Paducah man faces several charges after police say they observed him driving at high speeds. On Monday, April 14th, the McCracken County Sheriff's Office received a report of a reckless driver. A deputy saw the driver, 32-year-old Cody Draffen, driving 25 miles over the speed limit on Clark Line Road and Houser Road. The deputy then tried to catch up to Draffen, but was unsuccessful as he lost sight of the vehicle.

West had arrest warrants issued in 2024 for bail jumping and violating his sex offender registration requirements in Graves County and violating parole in Tennessee.
