EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry's Block-by-Block Neighborhood Cleanup program is returning this summer with three new cleanup dates. The cleanups are scheduled for June 20 in the Glenwood neighborhood, July 25 in the Lamasco neighborhood, and August 12 in the Goosetown neighborhood. On Wednesday, D-Patrick Honda donated $1,500 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Indiana. The organization, established in 1969, is a one-to-one mentoring program serving children in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, Spencer, and Gibson Counties in Southwest Indiana, as well as Henderson County in Kentucky.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — On Saturday morning, authorities say they were alerted to be on the lookout for a vehicle that might have a missing teenage girl inside. Shortly afterward, deputies spotted the vehicle, conducted a traffic stop, and found the girl inside, along with a male juvenile and 20-year-old Pedro Mateo. Mateo is now being held in the Vanderburgh County Jail, awaiting extradition back to Alabama.
