The Cats will play in an NCAA Tournament Regional for a third straight season for the first time ever Friday as the Cats, fresh off its first-ever trip to the College World Series, are dancing once again despite head coach Nick Mingione and his staff having to put together a roster consisting of over 30 newcomers.

Kentucky was selected as the No. 3 seed in the Clemson Regional during Monday's NCAA Tournament selection show and will begin postseason play Friday. The Clemson Regional will be hosted by the national No. 11 seeded Clemson Tigers, who posted a 44-16 record and are ranked No. 9 in the RPI.
