The Minnesota Vikings’ worst performance of the 2024 season came in their biggest game. It triggered memories Vikings fans hoped to stave off for at least another couple of weeks. However, that same game also gave fans some reasons for optimism going into a rematch with the Los Angeles Rams. While it was a beatdown by the time the clock struck zero, the final score doesn’t properly reflect how close the game felt for the first three quarters.

The Minnesota Vikings are sitting at 10-2 on the season. It's a pretty impressive feat for the Vikings when you consider their preseason win total was set at 6.5 wins. Already being 3.5 wins ahead of that mark with five games to go is a mark that should earn head coach Kevin O'Connell plenty of Coach of the Year votes. Being that much better than their win total brings a lot of questions about how they have accomplished that.

After their sunny victory over the Ottawa Senators Sunday, they’ll play four games in the next five days, but the Penguins’ injury list might be a little longer today. Penguins forward Blake Lizotte was struck in the head by a puck while he sat on the Penguins bench during the first shift of the game Sunday at the Sudbury Community Arena.

The expectation is that Derek Shelton will be back to manage the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2025. At least, general manager Ben Cherington said as much earlier this month. On another note, nobody knows for sure as to whether or not Cherington returns next season. Nobody in the organization has said anything to to contrary, but no one has said he’ll be back either. For now, let’s just assume that both Cherington and Shelton will continue to lead the Pirates.

Ever since I can remember, video games have always been an integral part of my life. It was something I always looked forward to doing after getting home from a long day at school where I just wanted to escape into my own world and have fun.
