A Canadian Football League team took a step toward acquiring former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Trey Lance over the weekend, according to a report from The Sports Network. The Saskatchewan Roughriders added Lance, the No. 3 overall pick from the 2021 draft, to their negotiation list, the report said. That means the Roughriders have exclusive rights to work on a contract with Lance if he decides to enter the CFL.
