Wind will be calm from the southeast at around 5 mph as temperatures drop into the mid to upper 40s. Some fog will be possible around the region. The daylight hours Thursday should be mostly sunny as temperatures climb into the mid to upper 70s. Highs will likely still be a couple of degrees below the average for this time of year.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Temperatures will largely reach the lower 70s under sunny skies Tuesday afternoon. A sunny afternoon will become a chilly and clear night across Middle Georgia. Wind will remain out of the north-northwest at around 5-10 mph, becoming northeasterly by sunrise. Temperatures will drop towards the 40 degree mark with the coldest spots reaching the upper 30s.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Severe weather brought a tornado to Bibb and Twiggs Counties Sunday evening. The tornado touched down just to the west of US Highway 23 in eastern Bibb County. It then traveled east, crossing Highway 23 and eventually Interstate 16 in Twiggs County. It would eventually cross US Highway 80 south of Dry Branch in Twiggs County before lifting. The biggest damage caused by the tornado is rated EF-1 with 90 mph max wind velocity.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Sunny skies and below average temperatures will be back for Middle Georgia Tuesday after the passing of a slow cold front. Scattered showers and storms will continue across Middle Georgia through the remainder of Monday. By midnight most of the rain should be done, however some activity may still linger in the southeastern counties. A flood watch is in effect until 8 PM this evening for the northwestern half of the region.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Conditions will stay hot and humid into the weekend until a cold front bring storms Sunday night and Monday. A partly cloudy and hot afternoon will become a partly cloudy and muggy night. Wind will continue from the south-southeast at 5-10 mph, calm enough for some fog to set in thanks to dewpoints that are in the mid to upper 60s. Low temperatures will also drop into the mid 60s. A stray shower cannot be ruled out, however rain is not expected overall tonight.
