MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – After a midweek heat wave temperatures will be closer to normal to finish the week around Middle Georgia. A partly sunny and warm afternoon will give way to a partly cloudy night that may feature a few isolated storms early on. A Level 1 “Marginal” threat for severe weather includes all of Middle Georgia for the possibility of a couple of damaging wind gusts. Overnight lows will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s accompanied by light and variable winds.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A cluster of storms coming from South Carolina could bring some damaging winds to parts of Middle Georgia overnight tonight. It’s been the hottest afternoon of the year so far across Middle Georgia with almost every location reaching the 105 degree heat index threshold of the current Heat Advisory (in effect until 8:00 PM EDT). Some spots climbed over 110 with Dublin reaching as high as 115.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Temperatures will remain above average in the afternoon however storm odds will climb in the evening. Mostly sunny and hot conditions will continue around Middle Georgia the rest of the afternoon and evening. It will be a warm night as well with lows expected in the mid to upper 70s. Wind will be light and variable. Rain is not expected, however a brief shower cannot be ruled out.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Temperatures will climb into the upper 90s and lower triple digits Tuesday afternoon. It’s been a hot start to the week in Middle Georgia with highs reaching the mid to upper 90s and heat indexes hovering around 100 degrees. There is almost no wind, and that will remain the case into the night. There is a slim chance for one or two showers or a storm, but rain is largely not expected. Clouds from the evening will clear through the late evening and into tonight.

Rain odds will remain slim this evening, however one or two showers or a storm cannot be ruled out. It will be slightly cooler tonight thanks to the weak cold front yesterday. Lows will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s accompanied by a gentle wind from the north.
