    Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 10 wickets on Tuesday in the final of the fourth T20 Blind Cricket World Cup final at the Multan Cricket Stadium. Pakistan dominated Nepal in the first semifinal, restricting them to 94/7 in 20 overs whereas Bangladesh edged out Sri Lanka by six runs in a thrilling encounter in the second. Bangladesh came out to bat first and put up 139 after losing seven wickets in their 20 overs.

    The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Saturday announced the Global Trophy Tour for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 was starting on Saturday in Islamabad. The trophy, after travelling across eight participating countries, will reach host Pakistan — also the defending champions — on Jan 27, 2025. The announcement comes amid tensions between India, the runners-up of the last iteration, and Pakistan over the former’s refusal to visit Pakistan for the tournament.

    The International Cricket Council on Monday announced that winners of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will receive $2.45 million — record prize money for the tournament — from the overall $11.25m pot while the runner-up will receive $1.28m. “The 55-match event will be played over 28 days, across nine venues in the West Indies and USA, making this the biggest ICC T20 World Cup ever,” the international cricket body said in a press release, a copy of which is available with Dawn.com.
