Coconino Community College will be offering free educational camps for students entering middle school for the second year this summer. The camps will run in weeklong sessions from June 9 through July 24. They are open to any student entering sixth through eighth grade in the fall, though the program organizers note that space is limited ahead of the June 2 registration deadline (as of mid-May, only eight of the 36 sessions still had available slots).

More than 750 high school seniors graduated from the Flagstaff Unified School District this week in three different ceremonies held Thursday and Friday. Summit High School’s 39 graduates gathered in the school parking lot at the start of Thursday evening to walk the stage, cheered on by their family, friends and teachers. Principal Rochelle Bronson and Dean of Students Rob Mayer both spoke during the ceremony, as did graduating seniors Daijanae Miller, Aliyah Harrison and Elliott Gonzalez.

Dennis Parra Resendiz will be graduating from Flagstaff High School (FHS) on Friday with plans to continue developing his culinary skills at Northern Arizona University. Parra Resendiz said his grandmother introduced him to cooking at a young age.
