Columbia's veteran community came together for horticultural bonding at the Veterans Urban Farm. About eight members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 280 congregated at the farm property Wednesday morning to explore gardening.

From nearly 400 high schools across the state, there will be over 1,000 performers coming to compete during the festival.

Over 100 guests appeared at the Old Hawthorne ballroom in support of the MOSY in Bloom: An Afternoon Tea fundraising event. This new style of fundraising organized by the Missouri Symphony League is hoped to become an annual affair. "We just felt, as a group, we need to be connecting with the community more," said Ed Hanson, the Missouri Symphony League Designate, on the topic of this year's fundraising approach. The Missouri Symphony previously held online fundraising auctions in the spring.
