It was the 14th International Jazz Day, and the "We Always Swing" Jazz Series, mid-Missouri's community-based, all-jazz organization, was presenting a special concert to mark the closing of their 2025 Jazz Appreciation Month.

Pierpont General Store hosted Pups, Pints, and Petting Zoos on Sunday in Columbia. Sponsored by Central Missouri Humane Society, Creekside Pet Center and Pierpont General Store, the fundraiser raised money for the Central Missouri Humane Society, a regional animal welfare organization that works with around 2,000 animals each year. This is the first Pints, Pups, and Petting Zoos fundraiser to take place in the spring, with a new non-profit organization being supported at each fundraiser.

Over 100 guests appeared at the Old Hawthorne ballroom in support of the MOSY in Bloom: An Afternoon Tea fundraising event. This new style of fundraising organized by the Missouri Symphony League is hoped to become an annual affair. "We just felt, as a group, we need to be connecting with the community more," said Ed Hanson, the Missouri Symphony League Designate, on the topic of this year's fundraising approach. The Missouri Symphony previously held online fundraising auctions in the spring.
