Twin Falls pitcher Kentyn Ketterling feels the same way every time he steps on the mound. A proverbial large target on the back of his uniform. A “giant TF,” Ketterling told the Times-News. A target every squad in the Magic Valley hunts as the Bruins seek their 10th Great Basin Conference title in the past 11 seasons.

TWIN FALLS — Kennan Huettig’s daily pursuit of his baseball dreams begins with about a 30-minute commute to school. A small price to pay for a Canyon Ridge senior who also travels to Boise every Sunday to visit a hitting coach. The journey will continue about 11 hours northeast as Huettig signed with NJCAA Dawson Community College (Montana) on Thursday. “It has been a long time coming,” Huettig told the Times-News.

Radford did and the Yotes, with former College of Southern Idaho assistant Colby Blaine in charge, secured the 2025 national championship on Tuesday in Kansas City, Missouri.

SUN VALLEY — Mikaela Shiffrin, more than 688 feet above thousands of packed fans standing shoulder to shoulder, heard the 'U-S-A' chants. Shiffrin listened to all the ringing cowbells and arrived to a decision. “I heard everybody cheering and I was like all right, f*** it,” the legendary American ski racer told reporters. “Let’s go.”Shiffrin didn’t cruise. She charged toward a two-run total of 1:45.92 and claimed the slalom title at the Audi FIS Ski World Cup Finals on Thursday in Sun Valley.
