The Bellevue City Council will consider a resolution on Monday that would limit the acceptance of new applications for sewer hook-up permits to those without approved building permits. Homes built within Bellevue city limits cannot operate without a sewer permit. “The provisions of this resolution shall remain in effect until November 1, 2025 or until the repairs to the sewer system are completed, whichever comes first,” states the proposed resolution.

The Bellevue Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday discussed a design review application for Beans & Brews, a 1,700-square-foot coffee shop with a drive through proposed at 749 N. Main St.The new business would be located on a vacant 19,597-square-foot lot between Family Dollar to the south and Atkinsons’ Market to the north. Rhy Lund, representing coffee shop developer Red Root LLC, presented the plan. “We just want to get something going before the snow flies,” Lund said.

As summer begins, hikers, bikers and equestrians head out onto the hundreds of miles of trails in and around the Wood River Valley. While most trails are open for use already, there are some closures and precautions to take in certain areas. Blaine County Recreation District Trails Coordinator Ashley Knox said many organizations have been hard at work clearing debris and deadfall from trails that accumulated during the winter, but some obstacles remain in the way.
