Led by Chieftain Adam Oellermann, the annual event brought people from across the region to enjoy the inflatables and rides and take in the entertainment. There were 21 local charities and organisations in attendance on Sunday, June 1, with stalls to promote their activities and raise funds. A variety of trade stalls and crafts were set up including by local companies such as Girvan Gelateria, Offxspringz, Land Energy and The Humble Haggis.

The ban came into force on Thursday, May 15, following a four-week warning period for drivers who flaunted the rules. The Transport (Scotland) Act 2019 made parking on the pavement, dropped kerbs and double-parking illegal in Scotland. A penalty charge of £100 is now being handed to anyone parking on a pavement, double-parking, or parking on a dropped kerb. This will be discounted to £50 if paid within the first 14 days.

Under the pilot project, the council will grant operators a one-year licence on beaches in Barassie, Troon, Ayr and Maidens. There could be up to four pop-up saunas in total with one sited at Barassie Beach Road Car Park, one at Troon South Beach Car Park, another at Doonfoot Castle Walk Car Park and one more at the Harbour Road Car Park in Maidens. Another pop-up vendor licence will be granted in Prestwick at the back of Kidz Play on the esplanade. This licence will be for food or drink.

Curries Removals Ltd had applied to South Ayrshire Council for permission to transform the building into a centre for the company. The rink had been lying empty since it was put up for sale back in September 2023 following a campaign to keep it open. In August 2023, investors led by Glasgow Ice Centre submitted an offer, in partnership with organisations including Scottish Curling, Kyle Figure Skating Club, Ayr Figure Skating Club and Ayr Bruins Junior Ice Hockey Club.
