MILWAUKEE — A former Milwaukee Public Schools board member already accused of fraud and misconduct now faces new charges. Aisha Carr is alleged to have filed fraudulent campaign finance reports and misappropriated campaign funds from it for her personal use, according to a criminal complaint filed Tuesday.

MILWAUKEE – A 40-year-old teacher at Milwaukee’s Rufus King High School has been charged with sexual misconduct towards members of the school’s basketball team. According to the criminal complaint, Erica Allemang-Reinke conducted inappropriate conversations over text messages, engaged in inappropriate physical contact, bought gifts, and used money sent via Cash App to manipulate students.

MILWAUKEE — New City of Milwaukee property assessments started hitting residents’ mailboxes last Friday, and average values are once again on the rise. This year, the average increase is 15 percent, with an average property assessment city-wide of $312,488. But that doesn’t necessarily mean residents will see an equal rate of property tax increase. It’s true that 2025 does mark a revaluation year, necessitating the issuance of assessment notices to all taxable properties in the city.

SULLIVAN, WI — The National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Milwaukee, Ozaukee, and east central Waukesha Counties until 11:45AM. At 8:40AM, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area.

SULLIVAN, WI — The National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southern Jefferson County in southeastern Wisconsin and southwestern Dodge County until 7:45 AM. At 704 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Edgerton,Wisconsin moving east at 65 mph. The Weather Service reports this storm is producing destructive baseball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. People and animals outdoors will be severely injured.
