    A 63-year-old man died after he fell into the street and was struck by a Charm City Circulator bus Tuesday evening in downtown Baltimore, according to police. Witnesses told police that the man stumbled and fell in front of the bus in the 1000 block of Fleet Street when he was run over. He was taken to the hospital, where he died,  police said.

In April, the mayor has touted the decline in violent crime and has revealed the city's proposed fiscal year 2026 budget, which aims to address an $85 million shortfall. The State of the City address also comes just over 10 years since Freddie Gray died following an arrest in Baltimore, which ignited protests across the country.

    Baltimore Orioles pitcher Charlie Morton allowed seven runs in less than three innings in their 24-2 loss to the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday at Camden Yards. Morton, in his first season in Baltimore, gave up seven base hits and walked four in 2.1 innings. He has a 10.89 earned run average in five starts this season. The Reds broke the game open with seven runs in the top of the third, followed by two in the fourth, two in the fifth,  three in the seventh, five in the eighth, and four in the ninth.

    Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen says he has met with Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who immigration officials say was deported by error, in El Salvador on Thursday. The senator shared a photo with Abrego Garcia at what appears to be a restaurant. "I said my main goal of this trip was to meet with Kilmar," Sen. Van Hollen said. "Tonight I had that chance. I have called his wife, Jennifer, to pass along his message of love. I look forward to providing a full update upon my return."

    The wife of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Maryland man who immigration officials said was mistakenly deported to a prison in El Salvador, is pleading with the Trump administration to "stop playing political games" and bring her husband home. Abrego Garcia was taken into ICE custody on March 12 after leaving his sheet metal apprenticeship in Baltimore and was headed home to Prince George's County, Maryland, to see his family.
