UPDATE: The second driver who died in a crash in Walker County has been identified as Cassiddy Mitchell, 19, of Rock Spring, according to Georgia State Patrol. The passenger who was air-lifted was her little brother, Cooper Mitchell, 15, of Rock Springs. He remains in the hospital. A Meal Train has been created for the Mitchell family. UPDATE: Brennon Beavers has been identified as one of the victims of a fatal car crash in Walker County Tuesday afternoon. A post from Lafayette High School's Rambler Football page says the student athlete was more than a football player. "Brennon was a leader, a brother, and the heart of our locker room," the post said.

UPDATE: Six wildfires within Walker County have burned 378 acres since Tuesday, March 11. The Draught Street fire has destroyed three homes, damaged 10, and is now threatening almost 80, the Georgia Forestry Commission said on Facebook. The Draught Street Fire is 50% contained as of 2:00pm, GFC confirmed. The other brush fires in Walker County are still fully contained. Crews have been on the scene since the fire started yesterday, and are continuing to work on containing it.

UPDATE: Georgia Forestry tells Local 3 that the 300-acre wildfire is contained, and no structures are threatened at this moment. Firefighter crews have worked overnight and into this morning to check for "hot spots," Georgia Forestry Coordinator Seth Hawkins says. "As the day goes on, and humidities drop down today, there could be some smoldering and smoking coming from it still," Hawkins said. "Don't be alarmed, there are a lot of resources and service people up there.

UPDATE: As of Wednesday morning, the brush fires in northern Walker County are fully contained. Walker County spokesman Joe Legge says fires and smoke within the containment zone can be expected through tomorrow. Georgia Forestry, Rossville Fire, and Walker County Fire Rescue are monitoring the containment zone. "We greatly appreciate all of the first responders from across the region who responded with assistance as part of Tri-State Mutual Aid," Legge said.
