    A slashing at a shelter on the Grand Concourse has put two people in the hospital, according to law enforcement officials. News 12 spoke with the wife of one of the victims, Destinee Melendez, who says that it all started with an argument involving another couple.     Advocates and elected officials came together outside of the Brooklyn Public Library on Thursday to demand an end to a "power grab" from Mayor Eric Adams. Mayor Eric Adams launched a Charter Revision Commission in May that put out a list of changes to the city's constitution, impacting how the city handles things such as public safety and budgeting. Those changes will be voted on by New Yorkers at ballot boxes in November.

    A 37-year-old former math teacher in Brooklyn has been charged for allegedly enticing or trying to convince teenage students from four schools to send him images of nudity and sexual performances.
