AUSTIN, Texas – Minnesota State baseball junior shortstop Aidan Byrne was named Third Team Academic All-America by College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday (July 2) after his outstanding performance on the field and in the classroom this spring. He holds a 3.92 grade point average and is studying Business.  Byrne is the fourth Maverick to be honored Academic All-America, following Dick Grass (first team, 1975), Mike Skowronek (second team, 1989) and Ben Keller (third team, 2013).
