Ten teams will vie for the title of District 15 Little League Williamsport all-star champion when the annual tournament kicks off this Monday in both Gloucester and Amesbury. Two pools consisting of five teams each — Beverly, Boxford, Gloucester, Ipswich and Manchester Essex in one; Danvers American, Danvers National, Hamilton-Wenham, Middleton and Amesbury in the other — will each play games against the other clubs in their bracket.

St. John's Prep tennis beats Concord-Carlisle 3-1 (with one match unfinished because of rain) to advance to the Division 1 state final for the second straight season. Now winners of 43 straight matches, the top seeded Eagles (21-0) will meet No. 6 Lexington (23-1) for the title.
