It had been 16 years since the Bengals drafted a linebacker this early when they selected Rey Maualuga 38th overall back in 2009. Knight became the third linebacker off the board and the second taken in the second round.

Jacksonville Jaguars GM James Gladstone has announced his arrival to the rest of the NFL with a splashy trade to kick off the 2025 NFL Draft. In his first draft as an NFL general manager, Gladstone got the Browns to send the No. 2 overall pick, a fourth-round pick (No. 104), and a sixth-round pick (No. 200). In return, the Jags traded the No. 5 overall pick, a second-round pick (No. 36), a fourth-round pick (No. 126) and their 2026 first-round pick to the Browns.
