Waconia’s 2025 downtown construction project began last week with the tearing up of a portion of First Street — and a several-block area will be the focus of construction attention all summer. But that’s not the only road work planned in town this season. On Monday, April 21, the city council authorized the preparation of plans and advertisement for bids for a package of mill and overlay projects for several streets in the Sierra and Sterling Hills neighborhoods.
