The AA competition is taking place at Baseline Tennis Center with the Class A tournament is being played at the Reed Sweatt Family Tennis Center. Sartell's Jack Michaud lost in straight sets 6-1 and 6-1 to Minnetonka's Brody Barbeau in the state singles quarterfinals.

    The spring turkey hunt in Minnesota is record setting. The DNR released their spring harvest numbers and the record that was set last year has been surpassed by this year's harvest. Last year's record was 16,714 while this year's number is 16,880. Glen Schmitt from Outdoor News says it was another banner season for turkey hunters. He says Central Minnesota had one of the highest harvest totals. Schmitt indicates 2 permit areas cover Central Minnesota, (507 and 508).

    Foley lost 4-3 to Southwest Christian Wednesday in the Class A boys tennis 5th place game in Minneapolis at Reed Sweatt Family Tennis Center. On Tuesday Foley lost 6-1 to 3rd seeded Rochester Lourdes in the Class A State Tournament quarterfinals at the Reed-Sweatt Family Tennis Center. The unseeded Falcons bounced back with a 4-3 win over Redwood Valley in the consolation semifinals. The individual competition starts today (Thursday June 5).

    The Sartell-St. Stephen boys tennis team lost 7-0 to top seeded Wayzata in the Class AA State Tournament quarterfinals at Baseline Tennis Center in Minneapolis Tuesday. The Sabres are unseeded. Sartell-St. Stephen will play in the consolation semifinals against 5th seeded Elk River at 4pm today at Baseline Center Tennis Center. If the Sabres can win today they would play at noon Wednesday for 5th place (consolation title).
