A vote to decide the fate of Brooklyn Center’s police advisory commission has been delayed again, this time to a City Council meeting later this month. Tanya Prince will lead the Osseo Area Schools Board of Education as its chair. Prince, nominated by Thomas Brooks, has been a member of the Osseo School Board since 2019. Brooklyn Park police say a home was swatted this morning as part of an investigation involving a suspect believed to be in possession of hazardous plant matter. The Bloomington School District has chosen the contractor that will build new football stadiums at Jefferson and Kennedy high schools. The Bloomington School Board unanimously agreed Nov. 25 to award the construction contract to Corcoran-based Ebert Companies in the amount of $6,352,000. The stadiums will be built inside of the existing running tracks at both schools.

The Osseo School Board is continuing discussions on needed changes to its elementary and middle school boundaries. The district wants to develop options for the changes by the end of the year. Richfield’s three ward seats up for election for the City Council featured one contested race, one uncontested race and one that fell somewhere in between. The opposed race didn't have the closest margins. It was the race between winner Rori Coleman-Woods (2,163 votes, 54% of the vote) and Emily Antin (1,770 votes, 44% of the vote) that was the closest. Antin dropped out of the race some time ago, but too late in the election season to have her name removed from the ballot.
