Alberta's Auditor General has been granted permission to participate in the ongoing lawsuit against Alberta Health Services (AHS), a judge ruled Friday. Doug Wylie applied as an intervenor on two appeals in the lawsuit filed by former AHS CEO Athana Mentzelopoulos, who alleges she was fired for looking into the procurement of AHS contracts.

A family is feeling grief and sorrow after their Havanese dog, Chip, was mauled and killed by a coyote in Calgary's southwest. The family says it happened on May 13 in the backyard of their home in Aspen Woods, when they believe the coyote was able to jump the fence or even pushed its way through the fence opening into their backyard. "Unfortunately, my wife found him deceased in the woods," said Chip's owner, Dr. Gerald Lazarenko.

Jenaya Robertson's 85th-minute goal brought the thousands of fans at McMahon Stadium roaring to their feet, lifting the Calgary Wild FC to a 1-0 upset win over the Montréal Roses in Northern Super League play Sunday.
