A divided Riverhead Town Board on Tuesday took the first step toward selling the historic and blighted Vail-Leavitt Music Hall to The Jazz Loft. The presentation by the science center’s architects and its development consultant at the Town Board work session made town officials optimistic about plans for developing the blighted building at 111 East Main Street, which sits on the west side of the town square.
