Concerns are growing for a pensioner who has been reported missing. Carolyn Groom was last seen in the Northfleet area at around 9.30pm yesterday (April 7). The 76-year-old is described as being 5ft with grey, shoulder-length hair. She was thought to have been wearing a dark skirt and sandal-style slippers at the time of her disappearance. Police are concerned for her welfare and are appealing for help to find her.

A person has died after being hit by a train. The emergency services were called to Stone Crossing station, near Dartford, just before 12.40am yesterday (April 6) following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Police and paramedic crews attended, however, the person was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

A closure order on a property, which had become a hotspot for anti-social behaviour, has been extended for a further three months. Police previously shut down the address in Princes Road, Gravesend, following reports of violent behaviour and drug dealing. The closure order originally came into force in January and the premises was secured after the occupants had left.
