The bank at 65 Eltham High Street shut its doors last summer, and the ground floor of the building has been vacant ever since. But a new planning submission to Greenwich Council suggests that a prospective tenant has been found for the site.

Padel could be coming to Blackheath with new courts planned at the site of a former tennis club. The courts at the former tennis club in Blackheath Park have been abandoned for the last 15 years, with the clubhouse destroyed by fire. Now, developer V Fund hopes to repurpose the site for padel, providing eight covered courts that would be run by Padium, which markets itself as a “premium” club.

The tallest block will be 31-storeys tall (Image: CZWG) The former Deptford campus of Lewisham College could be demolished to make way for 900 new flats including a 31-storey tower. Lewisham College students have not used the site in Deptford Bridge since last summer, but Goldsmiths fine arts college currently occupies some of the buildings.

A group of men is wanted by police (Image: British Transport Police) Nine football fans are wanted by police after two men were headbutted and called racist slurs on a Tube train. British Transport Police (BTP) officers said the group is believed to have information that could help their investigation into the “serious incident” on a Metropolitan line train on March 16.
