Emergency services attended an address in the town on Monday (June 23) at around 7.30pm. An air ambulance landed close to the scene, with the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) also sending several crews. A Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) spokesperson confirmed that one person was taken to hospital by road.
