BANGOR — Bangor residents may soon see a slight increase in their water bills. The Bangor Water District is filing a rate increase with the Maine Public Utilities Commission. If approved, the 1.5% hike will go into effect on July 1. Bangor Water General Manager Chuck Harrison said the change won’t drastically affect the average customer. “So for me, my water bill is normally 77 and change every month. So I pay $0.85 a day. With a 1.5% increase, I’ll pay $0.86 a day in water,” Harrison said.
