    AbstractThe obligate intracellular bacterium Coxiella burnetii establishes an intracellular replicative niche termed the Coxiella-containing vacuole (CCV), which has been characterised as a bacterially modified phagolysosome. How C. burnetii withstands the acidic and degradative properties of this compartment is not well understood. We demonstrate that the key lysosomal protease cathepsin B is actively and selectively removed from C.

    Error in Text and Table In the Original Investigation titled “Sterile Intraocular Inflammation Associated With Faricimab,”1 published online October 10, 2024, there was an incorrect term used in the Introduction and no Snellen equivalent visual acuity provided in the Results and Table. In the Introduction, the word biospecific was corrected to bispecific; in the Results and Table, the Snellen equivalent visual acuity was provided.

    The now-suspended Students for Justice in Palestine’s (SJP) encampment on April 30 was broken up by police, resulting in 24 arrests.     Gov. Katie Hobbs appointed NAU sophomore Jadyn Fisher to the Arizona Board of Regents (ABOR) as a student regent on April 11. Fisher is an active member of ASNAU and will serve a two-year term representing students on ABOR as a student regent. Fisher said she is excited to represent her peers in the state government. In the first year of her term as student regent, Fisher will be a student voice on the board.

    Two former United States House representatives attended an open forum at NAU’s International Pavilion on Wednesday, as part of the Congress to Campus program. They discussed their experiences in Congress and gave their opinions on current political issues. Congress to Campus is an initiative by the Association of Former Members of Congress that seeks to educate voters and students on how the political process works and advise those aiming for political careers.
