As he was faced with a growing chorus of complaints from unpaid investors, embattled Indiana pickleball entrepreneur Rodney Grubbs wired money to a select group of creditors in late 2023. From October through December that year, Grubbs sent payments totaling more than $80,000 to assuage investors in Indiana, Ohio, Florida and North Carolina.

Indiana Family and Social Services Administration confirmed to IndyStar that it has awarded PCG-Indiana Inc. a 3-year contract, estimated at more than $19 million, for the firm to staff and operate Adult Protective Services starting July 1. An award letter released April 30 greenlighted contract negotiations with the company. The contract could contain an option for the state to add three one-year extensions, potentially lengthening the deal to six years.

Antisemitism spiked across Indiana and the nation last year, spurring local Jewish community leaders and organizations to issue a call to action for Hoosiers of all faiths to stand against anti-Jewish hate and bigotry. The 2024 Audit of Antisemitic Incidents, released by the Anti-Defamation League, found 142 documented acts of harassment and vandalism in Indiana last year — a 140% increase year over year and more than four times what was reported three years ago.
