I’m almost to our due date and feeling all the feels getting ready to welcome our first baby into the world! I plan to write about pregnancy and birth in more detail at a later time, but I’m way overdue in sharing this post all about my fertility journey. I guess my preconception journey sort of started with freezing my eggs a couple years ago.

Super excited to re-release my Guide to Portland! I previously had a version on my blog years ago, and was waiting for a return trip so I could update it and publish on Substack. And now it’s finally here! Portland is a city very close to my heart. I lived there for 12 beautiful years, and it still feels like home. We just spent a week in my former city, reconnecting with old friends, eating all the things, and enjoying a rare week of sunny winter weather.

The sea of need for people and animals living through this man-made disaster is immense. I wanted to share a few places to donate to if you are able.

I set out to create one great cookie recipe for the holiday season, and I have to say I really nailed it. And honestly, this is just a solid cookie recipe to make all year long. They’re gluten-free, refined sugar-free and egg-free! They can also be made vegan if you’d like. The texture is my perfect cookie texture: chewy with just the right amount of crisp. I also looooove a salty cookie, so these hit that mark too (though I made notes/easy adaptions for those of you who don’t want a salty cookie).
