The owner of the Let’s Go Hydro aquapark has rejected a statement by a Parkrun group which he believes implies he is a “greedy landlord.”Knockbracken Reservoir Parkrun group, which said that after four years of weekly 5k runs they would no longer be granted access to the Carryduff reservoir site after this month. “We’ve been in discussions with our landlord, Let’s Go Hydro, to find a way forward,” the statement read. “Sadly, a compromise hasn’t been reached yet.

THE Home Office has said the expected cost of housing asylum seekers in Northern Ireland has quadrupled to £400m. A report from the UK’s National Audit Office released the figures in a review of asylum accommodation contracts across the UK. Tributes have been paid after the death of a well-known businessman and “Derry institution” Paul Diamond. The owner of the packaging firm Diamond Corrugated and also the Club President of Derry City Football Club, the SDLP’s Foyle MP Colum Eastwood was among those paying their respects. “Paul Diamond was an institution in Derry.
