BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Gov. Jeff Landry held a news conference to discuss insurance on Wednesday morning, May 28. “Our legislature last year did a responsible thing, the thing that would help to lower premiums. We also addressed other bills we were promised would help to lower auto insurance rates as well. Despite all the bills that we did last year, insurance profits continue to go up, but amount in people’s pockets continues to go down,” Gov. Landry said during the news conference.

The peculiar plant has a long pink bough with alien-like tentacles sprouting from the stalk, gathering at the tip to form a bulbous blossom of white and pink petals. This particular Queen, cared for by plant parents in Baton Rouge, features just one single blossom as she hangs from her long shoot, lonely and proud, on standby for her one night only solo performance.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Angel Reese fans seem torn after image previews from the upcoming video game NBA 2K25 were posted online. The X account @NBA2K posted first looks for a number of WNBA stars to be featured in the game. Among the athletes featured were Angel Reese and Caitlyn Clark. Reese, who previously helped the LSU women's basketball team win a national championship in 2023, now plays for the Chicago Sky in the WNBA.

The documentary, about LSU athletes capitalizing on Name Image Likeness deals is produced by LSU legend Shaquille O’Neal. The trailer features a number of LSU’s current and former athletes including women’s basketball champions Flau’Jae Johnson and Angel Reese, gymnastics champion Livvy Dunne and Heisman winning quarterback Jayden Daniels.
